The Start of My New Life

- was late for my flight

- NAIA 4th level (the place for those who cant check in yet) only has 2 slots for chargers
- met 3 teachers and 1 nurse in my overnight in the airport
- Sun Broadband not working in Iloilo

An Almost Perfect Bad Day

Never thought that knowing today as Labor Day (or any regular holiday or non-working holiday for that matter) would be very important.

I have close to no cash. I planned to withdraw some money from the bank today because I will be to going to Batangas tomorrow. But in a very unfortunate twist of fate (or coincidence or bad luck), my very own version of a series of unfortunate events unfolded.

1. Today is regular holiday. Meaning, regular employees will not be going to work.
2. I forgot to exchange the Robinson's Equitable Tower Building ID with my ATM card. And it will cost me 100 a day to get the ATM back. That would be PhP 1500 ($ 31.22, I have international visitors, you know) (including weekends) just to get it back.
3. Robinson's Equitable Tower is closed because today is a regular holiday.
4. All the banks (even the very reliable BDO) are closed because today is a regular holiday. Meaning, I could not have an over-the-counter transaction instead of using the ATM.
5. My roomate's ATM card got captured by the machine. Fate (or coincidence or bad luck) at least had some mercy because, now, I have someone I can relate to.

I played two rounds of Dance Maniax to get my mind off the things I am currently experiencing and then I went back home. And like a sad movie nearing its end, the rain fell down hard (with cats and dogs) giving me the chance to cry my heart out without anyone knowing. Yiruma music fades in. The camera slowly pans to the sky and then the credits roll. :( :( :(

Although I hate days like these, it makes my life more interesting and it makes you appreciate all the boring, no-problem, nothing-to-worry days. Labor Days, regular holidays and non-working holidays are very important days to remember. You don't how much damage they can cause you even if you're unemployed.

(The thing with the rain is not true. As of 6:28PM today not a single drop of rain fell. You can't have everything, even perfect bad days and movie versions will always deviate from the original.)
